When I try to log on to the maschinenkrueger.com forum with my password I'm redirected to this page.
http://maschinenkrueger.com/mod_sec.html
And get this message.
The page you are trying to access is restricted due to a security rule.

Messages sent to the only email address I have for the forum bounce.
I tried typing in a random string of text for a password to see if I could log in from the error message page. Using a bad password I logged on without a problem.
I'm using Firefox 8.
Please email me or PM me.
Thanks,
Mike
I've been getting the same with Firefox 8 and with Chrome as well but not with IE9.
I'll look into it more as I'm not finding a good solution for this.
Funny because I get the same thing, but when I do the back arrow and even though I don't look like I am logged in, I then press the home tab and then become logged in.
Not sure if that made sense :)

Same for me :-\
This problem seems to keep a lot of people off the forum. When I finally logged in after about a week I expected pages of unread posts. Instead there weren't many. Is traffic down?
Mike
You're able to post. :)
It's been slow lately. Holidays and such.

I haven't had any issues logging in, but interesting 'cause I've noticed a lull 'round here since mid to late summer....

About the time I got here ??? I hope it wasn't something I said :D
btw I've had the problem but if I hit the back button and then refresh the page, presto, I'm logged in just fine...seems like a spurious error msg.
Happy American Turkey Genocide Festival ;D

Good to hear you tried to log on with your password :)
"mod_sec.html" is not part of the forum software however I did some digging and found reference to "mod_security" and the following comment;
The installer has detected the mod_security module is installed on your web server. Mod_security will block submitted forms even before SMF gets a say in anything. SMF has a built-in security scanner that will work more effectively than mod_security and that won\'t block submitted forms.
So, making an educated guess, BK's website or webhost has flicked the switch on some sort of security setting and it's screwing up the forum software.
I figured they were to blame but haven't had time to contact them. Not the easiest bunch to deal with either. Always want to up-sell.
Thanks for looking into it.
