March 20, 2017 marked the forum's 10th year! I remember fresh to this day, the heartbreak and shock at Rene's server crashing/hacked. BK and I got into a discussion some time in February 2007 and decided MaK needed a Forum and we would make it happen. Our biggest decision was who was going to pay for it  I was hesitant since I already had a website to run, so BK stepped up and said he would if I took care of the tech. If I recall correctly, BK's reasoning was that he needed a personal website anyway. Thus the partnership was formed. 99% BK, 1% Futch I obtained a database backup of Rene's forum just prior to the crash and I was able to port some of the cool threads. Unfortunately a straight conversion wasnt straightforward. I still have the backup but since Rene hosted all of the images, and the images are gone, the threads are useless without pictures. Anywho, here we are. MaK on! F |

All I can say is, as a newbie, thanks to both of you for giving MaK a pretty easy place to come, socialize, but mostly just learn more about it in general.

Wow, 10 years! Thanks BK & Futch for this wonderful forum which was the catalyst that brought me back to Ma. K after many years!

Three cheers for BK and Futch! I too remember Rene's forum and before that it was Yahoo Group!
