            Posting Images

We love to see your work. There are plenty of online picture storage sites. Some are free, some have a fee. Please keep the embedded images to an acceptable level. If you have to scroll to the side to see it all, it's too big. Keep the photos to a maximum width of 925 pixels if you use [ IMG]. Any wider and scroll bars appear for everyone. If you have a lot of photos just type in the direct HTML link.

            How To

            • start a new message
            • paste your link into the message body
            • highlight the entire link text with the mouse
            • click the toolbar image icon  (above the smilies, first on the left)
            • preview your message then post it

            Hotlinked Images

A hotlinked image is any image embedded in a message. When the message is viewed, the image is visible too. Hotlinking is frowned upon unless the images is yours or you are allowed to post it. Posts may be edited at any time to remove the hot link. If you need to link someone else's image, then use the text form of the link, instead of embedding it (ie, do not wrap with [IMG ]http://tags). If unsure, Wiki has a great explanation about hotlinking.

Moderators may remove your [ IMG] tags if the post is image heavy or the images are too big.

            Resizing

"[ IMG]" tags also support "width" and height" attributes in pixels. If only one attribute is specified, the image is automatically resized proportionally. If both attributes are specified, the image will try to fit.

            For example:

            [ IMG width=100]

            [ IMG height=100]

            [ IMG width=400 height=200]

            Thank you!

Some online image hosts may not allow hotlinking, even if it is your image. It's a drain on their server every time an image is loaded. Check with your online host's Rules or FAQ if an [IMG] tag is not working the way you hoped.

You must use an online hosting service in order to post images to the forums. This forum does not host images.

Here is a list of the first four I found. I do not support them one way or another.
