Hello!  Smiley

Based on the Encyclopedia vol.1, but essentially inspired by Lin.k's!!!

Color base: first layer with Mr Color green (323) and light blue (54) , W&N oil white + blue (Prussian)  for the last layer. White camo: Mr flat white.

Joints & power pipes: Citadel Foundation> 25% brown+25% dark gray+50% black. It's the same mix for the chipping.

Exhaust: several Model color tones, based on this picture from Google. Aluminum color is a mix of "Boltgun" metal (Citadel)+white (citadel)

Weathering: W&N oil> Black, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna. Mig Pigments> Europe dust (everywhere), golf War+Concrete (top) and Russian Earth (bottom/feet).

Snow: Future and Baking soda. Mud: Acrylic resin (from Mig)+dirt (from my yard)+ acrylic dark brown (Citadel)

Bigger pictures:

More information.  Smiley

Excellent stuff. Fantastic job on the "flexible" joint covers. Great job on the colors and weathering looks great. The chipping looks good, but I really like the gime on the upper engine deck. I appreciate the very big pictures.

I love the AFS MK2 and I need to be building me one of them 1/2 camo suits.

Very good weathering on this one!  Thanks for all of the information.  I'll have to try the future and baking soda, it looks great.

Also appreciate the x-large pictures on your website.  Another great resource!   Grin

Beautiful work Arno, really, really good. The multi-hued Green with the thin looking and scraped white, dirtiness gradient and simple yet perfect basing, all top marks.

If I can re-do a winter AFS, I would like to then borrow some ideas and try them too!

Must say I am very flattered and thank for you for both the homage and mention, both sincerely appreciated. I did have a strange feeling of "Hey, I know this guy!"  Huh when I first saw him finished and I think your eye is excellent, you've taken the best from 2 suits right? Pose is a little improved on "Peter Wentworth" as well as the scheme from "Snowman".

Thanks again my friend, my work to replace myself is now complete.  Cheesy

Really beautiful work Arno, I agree with SMH this is what a Ma.k suit should look like: great colour scheme and depth, awesome weathering and a convincing and definitely not detracting base (I like the mud on the feet)!
Great blog, by the way and thanks for sharing all the painting tips.

I forgot:
the face (even if we can't see a lot): Vallejo Model color.
Black exhaust: Mig Pigments Black smoke (this one is awesome to use!)

About the snow: Future acylic floor & baking soda ("bicarbonate de soude" pour les français), I thought snow was very difficult to do. I was surprised really It's very easy!
