From Hobby Japan, never saw this coming.

Like the name?  Grin

Have only seen it in loose leaf on the day I was in there for the Krote shoot. All kinds of stuff I have never seen before. Eyes started to glaze over there was so much.

Seems like a pretty good price, cover is meant to be a kind of box deal.

AmiAmi Has it on PreOrder Too

I'm hoping for some late summer shipping sale. Books are spendy to ship.

I guess any issues between Kow and Hobby Japan have been mostly resolved?

Or Hobby Japan finally decided to cash in.

http://homepage3.nifty.com/kow/SF3DChronicles.html

From what Sensei said, the Chronicles will be a box set of 2 books, which include reprint of Hobby Japan old articles and images of SF3D. The dimension of the book will be enlarged from B5 to A4. Btw, Sensei said the reprint of SF3D Original nearly sold out.

So does any one know if all the material from the SF3D Original Reprint Edition will be contained in the chronicles? I missed the reprint and would sleep better at night knowing that I didn't miss out on anything essential  Cry

Amazon JP info here.

By judging on what it written on the cover, seems the chronicles will include all the materials throughout the HJ years. Of course need to be confirmed.

http://koriz.blog114.fc2.com/blog-entry-124.html

The Kanji/Chinese in the small circles on both covers mean "Sky" and "Ground/Earth" - when combine "Sky" and "Earth" it represents a concept in Chinese that represent "the whole world".

I'm a bit confused, with the Chronicles, do you now also still "need" this one to: http://www.hlj.com/product/HBJ60048  (SF3D Original Reprint Edition ) Or are these two complete different books?

They are different books. The chronicles will cover more models in the sense that the S.F.3.D Original Extra was published approximately midway through the series, while the Chronicles will incorporate everything until the end of the series, with apparently some bonuses, and is in fact a boxed, sort of "deluxe" edition. Both are "needed", indeed, if you are a hard-core Ma.K fan.

As a side note, please hail to Rainbow-Egg for doing the box art. Cool

I was kinda hoping it wasn't necessary to buy them bought, but what the hack  Grin  maybe it will help me to start building (and showing the pics on-line) again/more.
I've done not much the last half year or so and that doesn't feel good at all. Thanks for the quick reply, going to place the order (and maybe even buy a Profile when I'm at it  Wink )
