Definitely sticking to 1/20. That 3A stuff for me is way over-priced/collectible. Too irritating to try to purchase.

Not if you buy it at retail Much cheaper than the two LARGE MK releases (~$1000 compared to ~$250). |

Much as I love looking at their stuff on the net, and admiring the paintjobs and conversions that people do, I have to say that they're ridiculously overpriced for what they are. Seems to me it's just a fancy toy for rich people...not that there's anything wrong with rich people-it's just that they have more money than me to buy these sorts of things  . I think it's called "jealousy"  . Oh, well-I'll just stick to making my own stuff, at least until I win the Lottery...and then I can pay one of you lot to do it for me |

I think it is great because it will open up Ma.K to a much larger audience.
Mr. Yokoyama deserves all the spot light he can get since so many things have been inspired by his designs over the years with most audiences not knowing where that inspiration came from.
It's about time.
And in terms of pre-built and painted figures and such, 3A makes a really good product for a very competitive price compared to all the other manufacturers.
I can't think of a better company to be making them.

Personally, I don't think it will.
I would imagine most people who buy the World War Robot and other 3A figures are fans of the comics (and I believe there's a Zombies vs Robots film in the pipeline...) and they buy them because they want stuff from those worlds, kind of like Star Wars fans who buy every version of Luke Skywalker or Han Solo just because it's slightly different to the hundreds of other versions of the same character. It's one medium to another.
The problem is that the Ma.K./SF3D World is limited to a few magazine articles now and then, and mostly only in Asia, and so doesn't have the visibility in the rest of the world to make it "popular", as it were, in the mainstream. And 3A figures are pretty expensive and pretty limited in their runs so, I'm assuming, the Maschinen Krieger line they produce will be also...which means they'll stay within the niche market of only a few people willing (or able) to collect them.
It would be nice to get Maschinen Krieger out to a larger worldwide audience, and I hope making 3A versions (notice how they say they're going to "bring you a whole new world"?) helps in some way...I just have my doubts that it will in any significant or noticable way.
Myself, I think more plastic models is the way to go...maybe even a physical comic or web comic, something that's more readily available...

I buy the WWRp (the small 1/12th scale models) and I bought my first figure before seeing any comic-books. I've since bought a couple of books of Ashley Wood's paintings, but no comics... I just like interestingly-designed robot toys...

Yes a KK in 1/12 for me please but no more than $400 , can I also have it as a kit 1/6 suits look a bit plain to me, I think they look better in the smaller scales. Thanks Gans |

Not a figure....................... a 1/12 KK model kit........ there is a big difference. A 1/12 KK would be huge
Some others would not be enjoying this so I don't mean this in a rude or mean way, but the $AUS dollar for years used to be 50c U.S or less. So now the $AUS has turned around for a while I am enjoying buying some kits I never could have afforded in the past. So before our/my dollar craps out again I will try and pick up the more expensive kits.
However I wouldn't spend $200 on a 1/6 Ma.k figure suit as they don't appeal to me in 1/6 scale or even at that price.

hi guys my first post over here though I've lurked for years now, but here's the latest from 3A blog: "Krote 1/12th ( 14?-16? ) will be our first toy working with Kow Yokoyama.. we are super excited…. ! Just thought we would share !" for those interested, generally wwrp (1:12 items) range in price from 30 - 70 a piece based n the design. This includes free shipping. priced based off of bambaland purchase not retail. though retail generally is around the same. Larger 1:6 items range from 70 - 250 based on the size of the figure / robot. larger robots often are 14 - 20 in tall. figures in 1:6 are 70 - $150 in price. just so people have a sort of price base on what the average items are for cost. Also many of us 3A collectors have a huge love of MaK and have been hoping for years to see 3A do a collaboration with Kow. I know it was my love of Mak that led me to my 3A collecting habit |

Sorry for going slightly off topic, but is there a problem with the 3A Forum? I tried to log on the other night and got a message saying my account (Hollow Eyes) had been suspended for spamming the site . That's a bit of a surprise for me because I don't think I've actually posted anything there, even though I've lurked for a long time and finally joined a little while ago. I've tried a few times since to get on but there was still the same message...and now I'm getting another message saying there's a problem connecting to the site. I even tried it at work and it's the same... Now I can't look at all those cool models...  |

Have to say if I could I would. At least with some of the stuff. A 1/12 Krote...did I read that right? Stone me that's a bloody big lump at 1/12! That as a kit and not just something to be pulled out of the box, put on a shelf and admired, would be incredible. To me it's not the same if you don't get to make it. Great to have though. As an aside, is this the same lot that seem to provide large numbers of expensive toys to that chattering nutter on YouTube, the one who does the Power Loader coming out of the hangar's side bay by slowly opening his bathroom door? Anyone ever seen this guy? |

Or something like that  I've learnt to turn the sound off when I see one of his demos because I don't want to end up loosing it and smashing my laptop! He does a good job and gets right in there so that any potential buyer sees pretty much everything about the model...I just wish he wouldn't talk gibberish . |

Lol! Yep that's the guy! I also turn the sound off after a couple of seconds now if I see one of his vids, as I just know he'll stop talking about the model and start making daft noises and yes asking people to punch him.
Would gladly oblige, if I listen to him for too long.
Bloody cool collection of stuff though - and he does obviously love it like crazy.
