Welcome to the forum Sukhoi. That's a great build ... very accomplished A nice combination of textures, weathering and paintwork ... some nice original ideas too (like the kill markings on the laser arm).

Typical! First Ma.k and it's incredible. What is that base made from? I wondered if you's used a specialist paper punch? What method did you use for the scratches?

Thanks to all for your kind words Where to start? Its obvious your a very experienced modeler... Face, base, weathering and scratches - Top notch! I esp. Like the exhaust mesh Outstanding piece - please Show the WIP of your SDR built! And Yes - wellcome to the Forums! Thanks and...yes, I am modelling since 1978, more or less...but I am mainly an aircraft modeller. This is my last work, the Tamiya´s Spit in 1/32, just two images, this is not the correct place to post more: Typical! First Ma.k and it's incredible. What is that base made from? I wondered if you's used a specialist paper punch? What method did you use for the scratches? The leafs are like this: http://www.carminahobbys.com/escenografia-lp-1-50-familia-58-columnas-lanzamiento-0@0@0@0@0-3/They are already painted but some wash with oils or acrylics are always necessary to mix them with terrain. You can do scratches in various ways: - The biggest scratches with brush and a dark red brown. Then you can add small points inside the scratch with the same color lighted. In the edge between the dark yellow and the scratch you can paint a stroke with a very light yellow to give a touch of light. - The finest are made with pencil color, a dark brown and a ligth yellow will be useful again...simply, you must draw over the paint. I use tank modeling techniques but always following my personal way, I always try to scape from stablisehd rules and let the kit "speak to me". I wanted a veteran unit fighting since a long time and this is the image that I had in mind since the first piece was glued, then, just let your hands work...it sounds a little philosophical but is easy when you learn to "disconnect", not everything you've learned so far, but of all those rules again and again insist on doing things the same way. You can take them as a working basis, but always adding a personal touch and use them at your convenience. Next will be a winter scheme, propably a PKA Gustav. I will post the process when I begin, soon I hope, because there are a lot of planes on my desk

Welcome to the forums. What a fantastic finish on the AFS. I love the color and the chipped effects.
Did you use the Plus Model paper leaves? If so, I've never seen them look this good.
Where can I see more images of the Spitfire?

Excellent work. Inspiring detailing, especially the chipping. Hyperrealistic detail and corrosion on the bottom of the plane, would love to see this work in true scale in person!
Saw a post in the other forum showing off some Ma.K from Spain and happy to see representation on this forum. Really looking forward to seeing your next model, please continue making your own adjustments and modifications--I agree it's one of the joys of modeling Ma.K as opposed to strictly historical fare.
