Greetings all! My name is Tristan and I go by the nick.......tristan (!). Have been building models since 2009 after a trip to Japan saw me return with a gift of a gundam and Ive been hooked on Japanese mech and robot models since then. Been a lurker on some of the Ma.K blogs belonging to some of the members here and thought I should sign up here to see what I can see!! Came across Ma.K by chance as I found a 1/24 Bradley AMV at a local junk shop that was crying out for some love and it was the first time I had worked in such a large scale. After finishing the Bradley (which included scratch building rams, hatches and guns), I wanted some bits and bobs to go with it and came across the Ma.K figure set A which was pretty close to the scale. Untitled by Tristan Forsyth, on Flickr This then got me thinking of adding in something else... Untitled by Tristan Forsyth, on Flickr which ended up being the centre piece of the set, completely 'hiding' the Bradley! Untitled by Tristan Forsyth, on Flickr Untitled by Tristan Forsyth, on Flickr Untitled by Tristan Forsyth, on Flickr Untitled by Tristan Forsyth, on Flickr I learnt a lot on this build, including that I suck a face painting!! Didnt let that deter me though as Ive started a Gustav and I cant wait to have at it!! Untitled by Tristan Forsyth, on Flickr Untitled by Tristan Forsyth, on Flickr

Greetings, Tristan known as Tristan I'm another Aussie, though I live in New York, or close to it. About the same geographical relationship you have to Sydney. There seems to be a disproportionate amount of Aussies here, though we're spread around a lot. Nice first attempt...welcome to the madness. This stuff can get addictive. Cheers, Neil

Amazing. Where on earth do you get a 1/20 Bradley!? The only 1/20 scale tank I ever saw was a Chinese type 20 IIRC from Trumpeter.

It was a rare find. It isnt a model as such....more of a kids toy but it was obviously put together like a model but most of it was held with screws (hence my thinking it is more a toy than model). Someone had painted it (badly!) and I found it in a junk/second hand shop that specialises in 'unusual toys'!! Just wish I knew who made it but there was no markings on the toy itself. The tag attached to it said it was 1/24 and (by my bad maths) it was between 1/22 and 1/25! (1/24 sounds better......)

Nice work Tristan--and especially good find with that scale Bradley. Already scheming on some sort of kitbashed Nutrocker/Dollhouse type vehicle with that as a base

@gausswerks.....Now that I know its a easily available toy thanks to the link above and as I learn more about Ma.K.....I can really see that as a possibility!!!!
Nice idea mate! Consider it stolen!! (provided I can get the Bradley as a base!)
